Dr. Russ-Williams holds an impressive educational pedigree, with a Doctorate in Business Administration (Liberty University) and an MBAHA from Herzing University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Complementing this, she achieved an MPA in Public Finance and Public Management and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Affairs and Administration (CSU East Bay). Her academic journey include a Professional Certificate from the esteemed Dartmouth College’s Tuck School of Business for Growing Minority-Owned Enterprises.
Her professional journey includes co-ownership of the Gingerbread Bookhouse, a multicultural children’s bookstore and art gallery dedicated to promoting diversity, education, and cultural literacy through literature and the arts. Her commitment to community empowerment extends through her nonprofit and volunteer work, including service with United Neighbors in Action (Gray Panthers), Eliot Neighborhood Association, Volunteers of America, Building and Restoring Our Communities, Tithy Place, and Mothers Against Daughters in Crisis.
Throughout her career, she has held leadership positions in finance, operations, and administration with organizations including the Social Security Administration, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Weyerhaeuser Financial Services, Champion Nutrition, Stanislaus County Medical CenterScenic Hospital, The Permanente Medical Group, and Empath.MD, Minority Business Development Center, and A Better Way, a 0-18 mental health clinic.
